Girl Lane 02

Well hello there!

On November 21st I was lucky enough to attend the Girl Lane launch party. When I got there, I was amazed by all the incredible things there was to do - get your hair done, some body art, games, an interactive wall, testing products and much more, including delicious food and drinks! I spent the majority of the time hanging out with my good friends Stella and Bella, and we took many, many photos, ate and laughed a whole lot.

There should be another post up soon, most likely later this week, as there was way too many photos for one post. I've got school holidays at the moment, so I hope to be posting once a week or more, and getting into a better routine, with planning posts, for next year!

Girl Lane 01

Hello!

A couple of weeks ago, I put up a post called "exciting things", and you were probably wondering what that was all about! Well, I am able to finally reveal what has been under wraps for a little while ago now! That very exciting photoshoot was in collaboration with Girl Lane, a very soon to be released skincare, haircare and bodycare range for tween and teen girls like myself. Over the next couple of weeks I will hopefully put up more posts and reviews, but today I will be reviewing the skincare products!

Girl Lane is officially launching in around a week, and I can't wait for the rest of you guys to be able to try out these amazing products that feel brilliant on your skin!

 These two moisturisers are absolutely brilliant. I use the everyday face moisturiser in the morning, and the nourishing face moisturiser at night. I use both of these after the face wash, and they feel brilliant on my skin. These do feel a little greasy when I first put them on, but they do feel less greasy and a lot more smooth as the day goes on! My favourite thing about the moisturisers is the everyday one has built in sunscreen, and, as someone with naturally fair and sunburn-prone skin, I can say that it really does work!

 Oh, this face wash is my favourite of the products I've tried! You apply it to your face dry, and then wash it off with water, and it actually feels as if dirt is coming off your face! It's absolutely brilliant. I've used the hydration mist a couple of times when my face is a bit dry (which is often as my skin is naturally dry), and I honestly feel less dry on the face. I can't wait to take this mist to the beach and the pool to settle my skin after exposure to harsh chemicals.

 This lip balm is absolutely incredible! I've never been a fan of pawpaw lip balm, as it feels oily on and actually appears to be doing less than more nourishing lip balms. However, my opinion was completely changed when I tried this! I am a person who has struggled with dry and chapped lips for a very long time, and I was so excited to see this in my parcel, and honestly couldn't wait to try it - would it be the product of my dreams? It answered up to my expectations and more, as my lips were supple and soft within the day, and I can't wait to use this product on awful sunburns.

Hello! it's a pleasure to be interviewed on your blog. Well, I was born in England (Essex) then when I was 8 I moved to Wales. I love the countryside and the wildlife there, I dream of becoming a vet and have small hopes of becoming an actress hehe. I moved to Sydney in 2012! 

I understand that you have a twin sister. what's it like having a twin?

Yes! My twin sister's name is Hannah ☺️ Having a twin has its ups and downs.... People never believe us at first as we look nothing alike! Hannah has blonde hair and brown eyes!! But having a twin can be great too we have some really  fun times! It feels special to have a twin and to have someone to share birthdays with!

how have you been blogging/how long do you intend to blog?

I had another blog last year but wasn't really sure what I was doing... I started never normal blog about 3 months ago and I have been loving it! I hope to carry on blogging as I get older but I'm not quite sure how long exactly.

what are your favourite things to do in your spare time?

Well of course I love to blog and come up with new ideas for never normal blog! I also love to bake, read and I love to think about new ideas on designing my room. I adore animals so I enjoy going next door to play with my neighbour's puppy! I also watch youtubers like Zoella xo

what are your favourite blogs?

My favourite blogs at the moment are Zoella and Vanilla Craft Blog. I adore zoella! She is a British youtuber and blogger who gives great advice on beauty. I also think your blog is absolutely amazing, it's so cute and inspiring!! aw thank you!

where do you get inspiration from?

I get inspiration from many different blogs including deers and daisies blog! I love Pinterest so I get cute ideas from there and I love Instagram! I get lots of inspiration from lots of Instagram pages!

Divergent

Divergent is based on the original book by Veronica Roth set in the ruins of Chicago after 'the' war. The city has been divided up into five factions; Amity(peaceful), Dauntless(brave), Candor(truthful), Erudite(intelligent), and Abnegation(selfless). At the age of sixteen every boy and girl must make a life changing decision of what faction they will spend the rest of there life in. Now it's Beatrice Prior's turn to make this decision, and the faction that she chooses will change her life forever.

I really enjoy this movie, but it is quite different from the book; there is only one snogging part, the butter knife scene is not in it, and the end is a bit different. I personally think that the ending in the movie is better then in the book. The one thing that does disappoint me is that the miss a giant part in the movie that is in between capture the flag to the zip line scene. 

I would definitely recommend it to anyone that has read the book or has an interest in science fiction movies.

My instagram inspirations are Shelby, Chelsea, Chloe, Vanilla Craft Blog, and Sophia Walsh. Beci Orpin the author of the two amazing books 'Find and Keep' and 'Home'. I also look up to my Auntie and my Mum.

where do you like to shop at??

I like to shop at shops like sportsgirl, kikki.k, H&M, Zara, Windsor Smith and Myer or David Jones because they have like tonnes of brands! I also love to shop at op shops as I always find a great bargain.

I would have to say anything pastel or light. I am loving light blues and baby pinks at the moment.

VSCO cam and Afterlight. I am pretty sure you have to pay for them though.

I don't watch many movies but I am loving fashion documentaries. A must see is 'The September Issue' which is behind the scenes of Vogue magazine, preparing for their biggest issue of the magazine which is the september one. Its really great if you are into fashion and magazines.

how did you get so wonderful at blogging??

Aha well I just take my time, think up ideas, take bright photos that aren't fuzzy etc. I try to be original so then I stand out and so I catch your eye, instead of just being another blog. Tricky question!

any tips for other bloggers??

I have four tips for you babes //

1. Be you. Don't change who you are so society will accept you more. Be who you are, express your talents and interests. Don't pretend to love something you don't just to look cool and blend in- you don't want to blend in! You want to stand out because you are amazing.

2. Try and take nice quality photos that are bright.

3. Make sure you check over your post so you are sure to not make any careless grammar mistakes and spelling errors. I always read over my blog posts twice before publishing.

4. HAVE FUN!

Why thank you!! I guess I just worked away at it. Really thought out my posts and looked up how to do stuff probably.

any tips for other bloggers??

My  main tip is stay true to yourself, write what you are passionate about, write in your own voice and post often. Don't try and be like blogs with 1000's of followers, just focus on your blog and your followers and grow your readership and yourself slowly.

Don't try to copy what other bloggers are doing because readers want to know you and not them. Be patient as you will probably not be an internet sensation overnight because it does take time. Promote your blog as much as you can on Instagram or other people's blogs.
